Data deletion instructions

This page explains how users and workspace admins can request deletion of data associated with Hello Careline, including data processed through Facebook Login, WhatsApp, and Messenger connections. Meta may link to this page from our app settings.
What you can delete
Account profile information (name, email) and workspace membership.
Connected channel configuration (WhatsApp phone number IDs, WABA IDs, Messenger Page links, and stored access tokens).
Conversation history, campaign records, and related operational logs retained for your workspace, subject to legal retention requirements.
Self-service (workspace admins)
Sign in to the Careline admin app.
Remove WhatsApp or Messenger channels under Settings to disconnect Meta assets and clear stored channel tokens for that connection.
Delete individual contacts, conversations, or campaigns where the product provides delete controls.
To close an entire workspace/organization, contact support — we will schedule account closure and data purge.
Request by email
Email support@hellocareline.com with the subject line “Data deletion request”.
Include: (1) the email used on your Careline account, (2) your organization/workspace name if known, (3) whether you want account closure, channel disconnect only, or specific conversation deletion, and (4) any Meta user ID or Page/WABA identifiers if the request relates to Facebook Login or channel data.
We will verify ownership of the account or workspace before deleting data.
Timeline
We aim to confirm receipt within 5 business days and complete verified deletion requests within 30 days, unless a longer period is required by law or to resolve disputes, security incidents, or billing records.
Backup systems may retain residual copies for a limited period before automatic expiry.
Data from Meta platforms
If you connected WhatsApp or Messenger through Careline, deleting the channel in Settings (or via a verified email request) removes Careline-stored tokens and stops processing new webhook events for that asset.
Messages already delivered to Meta or to end users are also governed by Meta’s and the end user’s policies; Careline cannot erase content stored solely on Meta’s systems.
To remove Careline’s access from Facebook, also review Apps and Websites in your Facebook settings and remove Hello Careline if listed.
